So, a quick update. Today was a BUSY day and I have tons of footage that I’m working to get uploaded. It’s going to take me quite a bit though so be patient. Full day of shopping, lunch at the new and very much improved Lordi Rocktaurant, photos and video from downtown Rovaniemi, Finland during the few hours of “daylight” they got between 10am and 2:30pm. And now, we’re home and beat. The photos and video from today are uploading to the net so nothing to post…yet, but when everything is ready for linking got a ton to get up. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a snapshot from my typical Finnish morning. Coffee, treats and my morning news via the computer. Stay tuned for LOTS more!
The wordpress app for the iPhone was released today! This is a test post. Looks like I’ll be able to give LOTS of quick posts and updates at FinnFest ’08. Almost like they knew

Notice a full page of new posts, photos and videos- It’s been a busy few days in Finland! You probably notice a difference in the website as well (no you’re eyes aren’t fooling you)-I made some modifications to the layout and have some links added to the side with more cool stuff on the way. Nothing has changed all that much otherwise, same pages but the order is a little off- I can’t seem to get the programming right to get it out of alphabetical order…working on it.
I’m working on my thesis all week so I’ll post when I get the chance. I have a few treats in store with Santa Claus ready to post for tomorrow if I get around to it (shot the video and photos today).

Hi everyone, took a couple days off to finish up a chapter on my thesis and do some work for my job. Few days ahead should bring 4 or 5 more videos, photos, a couple AMAZING experiences and I think Santa might turn up on Monday or Tuesday. Have a lovely weekend and check back for more!

I wanted to let everyone know that I have uploaded more photos to flickr (Rovaniemi, Finland; London, Paris and Shanghai photos- yes this is kind of a Finland blog at the moment but until I get my other sites up and going, all photos will be listed in one flickr ccount). I also added a section on the Finnish language. and updated the ‘Calendar/News’ section with links to local Finnish news and info- Finnish events in the U.S. will be added as I hear about them. Look for a ‘Finnish Culture’ section coming soon and more language lessons! When the weather clears up I’ll add a couple of videos for you as well- maybe in the next couple of days. Any requests/suggestion for content are welcome. I am in the process of working on a section dedicated to food but that will take some time (none of the ingredients are in English and it is hard to find translations) STAY TUNED!
Greetings and welcome to frozenreindeer.com. This site is…well…no real goal for it yet long term, just ideas. For now, it is the home of Angela’s travels in Rovaniemi, Finland and her preparation for moving to Minneapolis in the Fall (probably tech stuff too because…I am a computer geek and like to spread the word on cool things I come across). Where this site goes, that depends on my interests and want you want to read about. I have done blogs in the past during my travels to Finland and friends and family have enjoyed them. there is lots of potential for the combination of Finnish, American, traveling, tech, education (to name a few of my interests) so I’m leaving it open for now.
